26/27 Terracottapolis Authentic Third Shirt
Ruabon is five miles from the Racecourse, and for the best part of a hundred years it was one of the most important places in Britain - enough terracotta fired to earn the village a nickname: Terracottapolis. That brick and tile ended up in Cardiff's Pier Head, Liverpool University, and even the interiors of the Titanic, shipped out from a seam of Etruria Marl clay found down the road from where this club has played since 1864.
It's not just history - it's the future. The new Kop Stand at the Racecourse is designed with a Ruabon-red brick façade, laid in a pattern lifted from the local brickwork. Before a single brick goes up, that same pattern has gone onto this shirt as an embossed gradient, fading across cream and black the way it fades across the stand renders.
"1864" is heat-pressed into the back neck, and a hem tape reading Ein Tir, Ein Hysbryd - Our Ground, Our Spirit runs the length of the shirt.
